BRENTWOOD ELEMENTARY
SCHOOLS
Pittsburgh, PA
The School District of
Brentwood desired to maintain and rehabilitate its existing neighborhood
elementary schools.
LDA prepared
feasibility studies showing how the Moore and Elroy Elementary Schools could
be brought up to modern educational and building performance standards.
The projects included
additions of new classrooms, modifications of existing corridors,
installation of new elevators and replacement of windows with new
high-performance windows respecting the building's original design.
All mechanical and
electrical systems were updated and all finishes renewed. All
classrooms were rewired for full access to computer facilities.
The projects were
designed and received PlanCon approval within six months.
